The Class of '58 celebrating their 70th birthday

50th reunion was held on September 19, 20, and 21st

Our 50th reunion was held on September 19, 20, and 21st -a three day extravaganza kicked off on Friday with a cocktail party at Jax Café, hosted by Bill Cooley, and followed by dinner in the main dining room. On Saturday 58 from ’58 hopped on a bus at Minnehaha Falls and toured Memory Lane right down to lunching at Curran’s. We returned to the Falls Pavilion, where other classmates and their guests joined us. The music was from the ‘50’s, the entertainment was inspiring (“Those Were the Days”), the food was Pizza, and the reminiscing was great. On Sunday we gathered at the Nicollet Island Pavilion on the river - beautiful setting, beautiful people, and a chance to watch the sunset on the river from the veranda. Most important of all was reconnecting with each other. It was truly a celebration.

In the process of planning this event we established a fund with donations from classmates and revenues from advertisements in our Directory. We were pleased to be able to present Richard Green Central Park K-8 School (on the site of Minneapolis Central) with $4,000 to be used for activities normally unavailable to their students. Hopefully other CHS classes will join us in supporting this effort.
