August 27, 2009 In the fall of 1959 several of us from CHS 1959 started a carpool headed for the University of Minnesota. As I now remember it the initial membership of the carpool included Gerald Bernard, Dave Fulkerson, Bob Greiling, and Dan Otto. I graduated in June of 1965 with a Mechanical Engineering degree and drove to Seattle with a college classmate (by way of Tijuana) for jobs with Boeing. Eighteen months later I was back in Minnesota working for 3M. That is where I met Betsy. We were married in 1971 and have lived at several locations in the East Metro suburbs. At 3M I worked with pressure sensitive tape, tape application equipment, and magnetic products (diskettes). Betsy left 3M to become an elementary school teacher in Mahtomedi and then became a teacher-educator at Macalester and River Falls. We are both now retired. My retirement activities include genealogy, native plants, photography, and websites. Here is a link to my personal website. |
