From 1959 Centralian "I'd like to be bashful but the girls won't let me." President of National Honor Society, Honor Roll, Student Council, Hi-Y, Centralian, Band, Representative Centralite, Boys State, Senior Class President, Senior Class Cabinet. Carlson, W. Scott Age 66 died 8/21/2008 at Redeemer Health Center with Fairview Hospice Care. Scott was a lifelong resident of Minneapolis. He owned and operated Crosstown Sweeping since 1970 on the corner of 35th Street and Hiawatha Avenue in Minneapolis. He suffered a severe stroke in 2001 leaving him unable to speak (aphasia) but spoke volumes with his warm handshake, his wit, gestures, loving heart and his smile. He is survived by sister, Nancy (Gary) Flatgard and brother, Brian (Sue) Carlson; 4 nieces, Anna Flatgard, Wendy (Patrick) Vossen, Tina (John) Caye and Lisa (Marty) Fahey; great nephews, Evan, Jack, Jed and Tyson and great-nieces, Cassie, Maddie and Ellie. A gathering of family and friends on Tuesday 8/26/08 from 5-8 PM at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4343 Nicollet Ave So, Minneapolis. Funeral service on Wednesday 8/27/2008 at 1 PM at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 3045 Chicago Ave So, Minneapolis. Published in the Star Tribune on 8/24/2008 |
