Minnesota's Greatest Generation Minnesota’s Greatest Generation has lived through some of the most difficult years in modern history. What was it like to be a child during the Great Depression? What were your military or home front experiences during World War II? How did your life change during the post-war years? These recollections are a unique and valuable view of history, and are worth saving. If you are a member of the Greatest Generation born between 1910 and 1929 with stories of the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s that you’d like to preserve, the Minnesota Historical Society invites you to record your stories on the “Minnesota’s Greatest Generation” website. Stories and photographs collected will be held online indefinitely in a searchable database for the benefit of future generations. “Share Your Story” is a component of the “Minnesota’s Greatest Generation” project that seeks to offer Minnesotans statewide the convenience of telling their own stories through an easy-to-use website. Stories may also be submitted on paper, or by telephone. For more information, contact Linda Cameron at (651) 259-3027. |
