Deloris Nordquist Sauers

Traditionally, lives are grouped by years or decades. Ours has been grouped geographically. Our high moments, happy moments and sad moments are reminisced by where we lived. Minneapolis, where I met and married by Air Force Tom Cruise look alike, Gene Sauers. Japan - started our family with daughter Kelly. The it was off to Texas and son Stan was born. Next, the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. Had a tour in Germany and lived in Leipheim and Frankfurt.. Gene served two tours in Viet Nam, coming back to retire in Fridley. Service life for Gene saw him awarded the Purple Heart, 2 Bronze Stars, the Silver Star and 2Commendation Medals that were combat related. The finishing touches of our family saw grandchildren Aaron, Trevor, Evan and Ben come into our lives. We’re now back in Minnesota and living on 10 acres of seclusion in Dassel, overlooking Lake Jennie.
