A great deal of water has flowed over the Minnehaha Falls since June of 1957. Many of us have changed in more ways than one. In my case, I am twice the man I was. Not necessarily in quality, but certainly in quantity. That skinny kid of 18 is now an overweight bundle of fun of 68. I fondly remember the joyful times with Omer V. Schommer and the full choir and the Central Singers when we were able to present musical works like "The Night Before Christmas." After a couple of years at St. Paul Bible College and a couple more serving in the US Army, serving "overseas" at Fort Hood in Texas, and after finally graduating from the Brown Institute of Broadcasting, I began a 43-year career in Christian radio broadcasting in Fargo, Minneapolis and Tucson. My wife, Jan, (Washburn 1958) and I have lived in Oro Valley, AZ since 1986. I am not semi-retired after working for Northwestern College Radio, Roseville (1964-1985) and Family Life Communications, Tucson, AZ (1986 to present). I continue to produce and host a weekly syndicated music program, which is currently being aired on over 300 stations each week. ( www.myflr.org/ctw). We have three children and six grandchildren.
