Roger Johnson

I think I missed a generation or something; two sons, 30 and 25, unmarried, one a chef and one in the peace corps in Costa Rica, and me still working, doing architectural projects for elderly independent housing projects (for you).

Roger died October 25th 2018. below is his obituary from the November 4th 2018 StarTribune.

Johnson, Roger F. Age 79, passed away peacefully on October 25th at home surrounded by the light and love of his family. He graduated from the University of Minnesota 1961 with a major in architecture, started his own firm in 1972, leading the company until his passing. He was an accomplished architect, designing single family homes, International Styles compositions sheathed in wood and vertical windows often playing off horizontal elements. Roger designed many cooperative senior living buildings in many states. Bi-weekly tennis matches, biking along rivers with Lynn or the grand tour of Minneapolis lakes were weekly outings. He tapped into an energy source that was bottomless. Preceded in death by his parents, Kermit and Lyla, and brother Marshall. He is survived by his loving wife Lynn, sons Cory and Adam (Ciara), a brother, sister and two grandchildren.
