Barbara Nelson Edberg and Ken Edberg

Ken and I left Minneapolis in 1966 for California. We’ve lived in Fremont, close to San Francisco ever since. We’ve traveled a lot on the west coast and trips east to visit family. Our grandson, Nic, is 19 years old, works in construction in northern California with his father Chris, our oldest son. Our daughter Shelly is the Learning and Development Manager at the Four Season’s Resort Hotel, Hyde Park London and our youngest son Sean is working for Cartoon Network as an animator also in London. So it looks like a trip for us in November to Merry Olde England. Ken and his brother Jim have hiked Harney Peak in South Dakota in 2004, Half Dome in Yosemite in 2005 and 2006. Prior years we spent time on islands (Harry Island and Michipicoten Island) in Lake Superior and went to South Dakota to Pine Ridge Indian Reservation during Sturgis week. There Ken had the opportunity to kiss a buffalo; I didn’t like that. Ken has completed four Big Sur Marathons. We run a lot of local 5K and 10K races. I still jog about four times a week, about 4 miles each day. The dogs take turns running with me. We just celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary and are looking forward to our 50th. The good news is we’re both retired and loving it! We are actively involved with our church (Our Savior Lutheran) and also involved in dog training. We have a Rottie Mix, Sadie and a Border Collie, Mollie. Mollie has private lessons and attends two classes a week in Agility.

Both Ken and Barb died in 2022. So far, we have no info on their obituaries.
