Elizabeth Luftman (Johnson)Luftman, Elizabeth (Johnson) March 21, 1939 - December 6, 2009 Beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandma and Friend. Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Luftman, of Eagan, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 6, at the age of 70. Betty was preceded in death by daughter, Julie; parents, Anne and Warren Johnson; and brother, Thurmond. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Frank Luftman; son, Brian (Darra) Luftman; treasured granddaughters, Aly, Haley and Carlee Luftman; brothers, Dennis and Roger (Joan) Johnson; sister, Sandra (Russell) Erickson; and many much-loved nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Born in St. Paul, Betty graduated from Mpls. Central High School and was employed with US West for 30 years. She was a devoted and active member of Easter Lutheran Church, where she was a choir member for many years. She enjoyed and excelled at sewing, knitting and quilting, handcrafting many beautiful keepsakes for family and friends. She also enjoyed cooking and baking with her granddaughters. Betty was quick to laugh and first to lend a hand - a kind and special woman who will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the good fortune to know her. A visitation will be held Thursday, December 10, 4-8pm, Easter Lutheran Church, 4200 Pilot Knob Rd., Eagan, MN. Celebration of Life Service, Friday, Dec. 11, 11 AM Eastern Lutheran Church.
